Information in other languages than Swedish
The Swedish Language Act (2009:600) says that Swedish is the main language in Sweden. This means that, for example, municipalities and other authorities are not obliged to write in languages other than Swedish. In cases where there are translations into languages other than Swedish on gotland.se, it must be possible to justify why the information was then translated into that particular language and not another.
The texts on gotland.se must be simple and understandable. This also applies to texts that have been translated into languages other than Swedish. Then the texts will be easier for everyone to understand and the translations will also be better.
